Practise the civic exam, theme by theme
Pick a theme, answer one question at a time and read the correction straight away. Each correction cites the Ministry of the Interior sheet the question comes from. No account: your results stay on your device.
The five themes of the exam
- Principles and values of the Republic
- Institutional and political system
- Rights and duties
- History, geography and culture
- Living in French society
How it works
The civic exam has 40 multiple-choice questions in 45 minutes; 32 correct answers are needed (official page of the Ministry of the Interior, in French). Practice by theme shows you your weak themes before the 40-question mock exam, which is taken with no correction until the end.
A simple method
- Do a series of 10 questions on one theme, then re-read the Ministry sheet for each mistake.
- Go back to the theme where you slip most: the page keeps your results by theme on your device.
- When the themes hold, take a 40-question mock exam in exam conditions: 45 minutes, no help.
Free and Pass
Practice on the public questions and the first mock exam are free. The Exam Pass (€19 incl. VAT, paid once) adds unlimited practice, the full bank and the situation questions.
What Hexaciv is not
Hexaciv is an independent service with no link to the French State. The situation questions are exercises written by Hexaciv, not the questions of the exam. For the full mock exam: the free test.
