Guidance (4/5): registering with France Travail
Registration with France Travail is automatic for people who receive the RSA or are registered with a Mission locale. Other people must register by themselves.
Key points of the sheet
- You go to the France Travail website. In the Services section, you choose "S’inscrire ou se réinscrire" and you fill in your request.
- If you find French difficult, you tick a box. An adviser talks with you on the phone and helps you answer the guidance questionnaire.
- If you understand French well, you fill in the guidance questionnaire. Then you are offered an appointment with an adviser right away, or the most suitable organisation calls you later.
- If you find it hard to fill in the questionnaire, you can call 09 84 98 37 94. Someone will help you.
- To renew your residence permit (titre de séjour), you go to the prefecture (préfecture) from 120 days before it ends. You then receive a document.
- You bring this document as soon as possible to the reception of your France Travail agency. You also bring your new residence permit as soon as you receive it.
